Committees

This is the section of the site where you can read about the
groups that actually get stuff done, the committees. Of course,
it's a well known fact that the more committees you have, the
more productive things become. To this end, LM Class of 2007
has no fewer than three committees, each lead by a few
elected cochairs. If you'd like to get involved with the class,
but you don't like the pesky problems with hanging posters,
speaking in front of a massive and unpredictable audience
of your peers, and devoting much of your free time to typing
up minutes, then committee membership might be the
perfect thing for you. This page details the role of each
committee, and provides you with contact info for each
committee chair.

Of the three committees, fundraising is the largest. Headed up
by Dave Spandorfer, Molly Cohen, and the ever popular
Yuzhe Feng, the committee has over 50 members at its
disposal. The main goal of the committee is to provide
a large group of people that can turn the officer's fundraising
ideas into reality. If you like money, or you're good at baking,
fundraising may be you committee.

Prom

The prom committee's only goal is to plan the Class of 2007
Senior Prom. In performing this task, they get the privilege
of spending almost all of the money raised by the Fundraising
Committee, the class officers, and the entire Taste of LM. In
addition, they get to visit venues, sample food, and plan
every aspect of the lavish event. If these things appeal
to you, send an email to Jill or Andrew.

Your class officers exist to manage all aspects of the class. We
come up with fundraisers, manage the treasury, coordinate
all the committees, and decide who gets credit at the end of the
year. Your elected officers are probably the most crucial
link between you and the your class government. As you can
judge from the pictures above, you're in good hands.
